| Detailed description | An intensive, one-week seminar on the theory and practice of waste minimisation and resource use optimisation. The concepts of waste minimisation and resource use optimisation, as well as related concepts such as Industrial Ecology, eco-efficiency lean production, green chemistry and engineering are clarified. Relevant legislative issues are also introduced. State of the art of waste minimisation tools and industry case studies are presented. The course also consists of a practical part based on the use of waste minimisation tools and a written exam based on the lecture material. |
