| Title of project/activity | ‘Green Chemical Engineering’ Courses |
| Target audience | 5th year University students, equivalent to MSc |
| Numbers reached | 20 students per year |
| Brief synopsis of activity | A course on green chemical engineering focusing on chemical and biochemical processes, environmental engineering and quality-safety-environment incorporating theoretical and practical work. |
| Detailed description | Green Chemical Engineering courses (20 h) mainly concern 3 specialization years: Chemical and Bio-chemical Processes (PCB), Environmental Engineering (GDE), Quality-Safety-Environment (QSE). The courses mainly deal with modelling and optimisation of existing chemical processes under environmental and safety constraints, intensification of operating conditions (milli-microreactors, reaction/separation coupling), chemical processes using new media (supercritical CO2, onium salts) and/or activation techniques (microwave, ultrasound, electrochemistry). In Chemical and Bio-chemical Processes specialisation, practical work (20 h) is also proposed to students to illustrate the use of activation techniques. |
| Open to collaboration | Yes |
