| Brief synopsis of activity | A five day course delivered by experts from university and industry designed to provide students with the ability to develop an overall holistic view on design and engineering projects in particular in view of sustainability. |
| Detailed description | The course focuses on design and personal professional assessments of sustainable systems in future work areas in industry or government. The challenges and future developments are central. In five themed days (Planet Earth, Energy, Industry, Food, and Water) experts from university and industry give overviews of the main aspects. In a main design case and workshops the participants are trained in applying those aspects for real cases, such as scenario’s and life cycle analyses. After the course, participants should be able to develop an overall, holistic view on design and engineering projects, especially in view of sustainability. |
